The Savannah Inn Bed and Breakfast is hosting its first art show entitled “Master and Mentored” featuring the works of art teacher Bill Patterson and his students Libby Zando and Maryellen Davis.  The Savannah Inn, located at 330 Savannah Road, will host an opening for the exhibit on Wednesday, June 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The exhibit will be on display at the Inn, by appointment, through the month of June.  Patterson received his formal art education from Mercer County Community College, Rowan University and the University of the Arts.  His favorite medium is oil paint and his works display a strong sense of light and clarity.  He focuses on specific details that allow the viewer to connect with the theme of his paintings.  During his tenure, Patterson trained and mentored many students who have become art educators and full time artists.  After retiring in 2007, Patterson and his wife moved to Milton where he found two blossoming artists in Zando and Davis.  Zando put down her paints twenty years ago to focus on her construction and landscape company, Zando Designs; however, she recently rekindled her passion for painting due to Patterson’s skillful mentoring.   Davis, originally from New York and a recent transplant from California, is also living her retirement dream in Milton.  Davis is pursuing a lifelong goal of learning to paint with Patterson, whose skills, experience and patience have helped her to shine.  For more information about the “Master and Mentored” exhibit please contact the Savannah Inn at 302-645-0330 or info@savannahinnlewes.com.
